Weight Loss Secrets

I love it when I’m surfing the web for health and weight loss secrets and  research and an article that pretty much sums up what I’ve been saying all along magically shows up in my browser.

The best part of this article? The section titled 7 things to start doing today. It’s several blog posts neatly summarized into one short read.

My favorite weight loss secrets from the article are:

Pile on the plants. Instead of trying to cut back on portions, fill up on vegetables and fruits.

Sit down — and slow down. Actually stop and pay attention to eating when it is time to eat.

Get up.  Move some every day. Don’t think in terms of exercise – think in terms of movement.

Get out. Be social. Spend time with people you like.

Take it easy. All right, ladies. Most of us really need to hear this one. Be nicer to yourself which sometimes means giving yourself a break. Meditate, take a bath, read a magazine, go for a walk, chill in front of the tv, take a sky diving lesson, visit a museum climb a mountain. Do something every day to relax and show yourself you matter. ‘Cause you do.

Good stuff.
